Hailing from Christchurch, the Samoan, Tongan and Maori soul sister has been handpicked to work with and support artists as diverse as Ciara, Mos Def, Renee Geyer, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Dave Dobbyn, Hollie Smith, the NZSO, and soul legend Chaka Khan. With 2 acclaimed releases under her belt “Without the Paper” (2011) and follow up release “Time and Space Ep” (2013), Bella was awarded Best Pacific Female artist in the Vodafone Pacific music awards in 2012 and 2014 for these albums. Bella has also worked in TV, Film and Musical theatre with credits including The Orator and Disney’s The Lion King performed in Sydney.
